Have to say the most memorable was Sonoita to Bisbee, circa maybe 2006, and with Nancy and I doing the 6-mile climb up to the Mule Mountain tunnel on outskirts of Bisbee. There we were, doing all of 5-6 mph, and then came the wind. Not directly mind you, but only rustling through the cottonwoods ahead. Finally, wham, it hit us head on with a vengeance. I look to my right: There’s Nancy, actually moving backwards on her bike and trying desperately to bail. Luckily, we both were able, stood in tracks and just braved against the wind til it died down.
